Austin Hill Wins Formula Race Promotions Championship
Criss-crossing their way around the county, the 2023 Formula Race Promotions (FRP) program came to a close and after the final checkered flag, Austin Hill was crowned champion. Competing in the Atlantic Open class, Hill’s statistics were staggering as the young talent earned wins, pole positions, podium results, and fast lap honors throughout his campaign.
“It was a good season,” explained Hill. “As an up-and-coming racer, I always want to win and prove myself. My goal was to win as many races as possible and come home with the title and I was able to accomplish that.”
As a driver who competes in multiple race programs in both open wheel and sportscars, Hill dominated the FRP program earning six trips to the top step of the podium along with five pole position awards. Along with his accolades, Hill also earned five fastest race lap honors and a total of seven podium results in only eight races.
Hill continued, “I think this season was proof of what I can do behind the wheel of a racecar. A lot of professional racing drivers have come through FRP, and my goal is to follow in their footsteps. While I still have a few races left this season in other series, I hope to be able to announce my 2024 program soon.”
Not only successful in FRP, Hill’s 2023 season totals are astonishing with ten total victories, ten pole positions, 11 fastest race laps, 12 podium results, and 17 top-five finishes in 25 events.
Hill added, “Thank you to everyone who has supported me to date. This is just the beginning.”
