Blake Mount Powers to First Atlantic Win
Summit Point, WV - Blake Mount took his first career Atlantic Championship Series win after a race-long battle with Spencer Brockman, as the two cycled to the front of the field late in the race following the retirement of Baltazar Leguizamon.
“It was a good race. Spencer was on me the entire race, but K-Hill gave me a very good car,” said Mount. “I was able to keep the pace toward the end and that was key.”
Brockman said: “I came around that last corner and saw the dirt, and I saw Baltazar parked on the side. I looked down at the dash and knew there were only a few laps to go. This track is so hard to pass on once we get close, it takes all the air off the front wing. We were happy with the pace of the car, running our quickest laps of the weekend in the race.”
