Brandon Angel Joins Raceworks for 2014
Raceworks has signed 21-year-old Brandon Angel from Ocala, Florida to drive their Honda-powered Spectrum chassis in the F1600 Pro series for 2014, partnering with already-signed Franklin Futrelle.
“We’re delighted to have Brandon join our team as we make our return to the F1600 Series,” said Sam Lockwood of Raceworks.
Brandon most recently competed in the Skip Barber racing series in 2013-2014 were he had one win, eight podiums, two poles and 14 top-five finishes.
“I am excited to compete in this series with Raceworks, they have been very professional in their approach and very welcoming,” added Angel. “They have also partnered me with a great teammate in Franklin; I hope to draw on his vast experience and racing knowledge to help in my transition to the Spectrum F1600. We are excited about our chances in the series, even though we are a new team we are not new to racing.”
