Carbone on Pole for Second Mosport Race

June 13, 2010

Bowmanville, ONT – Championship leader Victor Carbone took a dominant pole for the second F2000 race of the weekend at Mosport with a fast lap of 1:21.4 in his Alegra Motorsports Van Diemen. More importantly, the 17-year old Brazilian grabbed championship bonus points to extend his national championship lead over American Cole Morgan, who will line up second ahead of Remy Audette, who ran away with yesterday’s race, Phil Lombardi and Tim Minor.

Rounding out the top ten were Keith McCrone, Dave Weitzenhof, Chris Livengood – in a car that was literally thrown back together overnight following a massive crash yesterday, Bobby Caldwell and Dan Denison.

Round two of the weekend goes green at 11:45am. Follow live updates on Twitter @F2000.
