Goikhberg Doubling Up on Experience
Goikhberg to serve double duty in upcoming F2000 and F1600 rounds piloting Championship winning Citation F2000 chassis.
April 15, 2019
The busy IMSA and Trans Am driver, Misha Goikhberg has expanded his plan for the FRP event at Road Atlanta. Already scheduled to race a RRP Mygale in the F1600 portion, Misha will also run a Rice Race Prep prepared Citation in the F2000 portion. The team will bring out the 2014 #07 Citation that Steve Bamford used to win the 2016 FRP F2000 Championship. It will be Misha's first outing in a FRP F2000 event and his first in a Citation, although experienced in USF2000 Van Deimens. Road Atlanta will be familiar to all involved however, as the team had podium finishes 4 weeks ago at an SCCA event, and Misha had the pole for the Trans Am TA2 race there 2 weeks ago. "We are mostly full with our F1600 program, so we are looking to support the F2000 events as well. We were one of the first teams in North America to invest in F2000 back in 1984, so 2019 will mark 35 years involvement with the class" team owner Greg Rice reports. "We hope to run the Citation at a few more FRP events but our driver lineup is not confirmed at this point."
Expect several more announcements this month. Rice Race Prep continues efforts to fill in open events for their #06, #07, and #13 Mygale entries, which will carry Susiuhl.com sponsorship, for the FRP F1600 Championship series. Susi Uhl Art creates quality art productions ideal for wedding, shower, or general gifting. Already announced are events for Kyle August, Andrew Dobbie, Simon Sikes, Alex Scaler, and Misha. Rice Race Prep will also be servicing other F1600 events in SCCA and in Canada. The team will be running cars at the SCCA Runoffs and can run provide support for F1600, F2000, or other classes.
