Neil Verhagen Announced as Second K-Hill F1600 Driver
K-Hill Motorsports is pleased to announce the signing of karting standout Neil Verhagen for the 2016 F1600 Championship Series. Verhagen is set to compete in a Mygale SJ during the 21 race series, racing at some of the finest tracks in North America.
At the tender age of 14, Verhagen already has a year of car racing under his belt as he competed in the Skip Barber Winter Series, claiming 5 wins on his way to 2nd in the championship. In addition to his on-track activities, Neil is a high school freshman.
“I can’t wait to get the 2016 season started. The racing in F1600 is so competitive and so close, I’m sure it will be a tough year. However, I think it will help me develop as a driver and prepare me for the next step up”, Verhagen said.
Working with lead engineer and team manager Eric Langbein, the Moorseville resident will look to bring race wins and a championship home for the Pennsylvania based squad.
“I'm excited about working with Neil at K-Hill in 2016. We've been able to work together a couple of times already, and he's impressed the team with his speed. We hope to translate that into good results this season," team manager and lead engineer Eric Langbein commented.
